NGP VAN Reports Record Amount Of Canvassing

In the age of technology, it makes sense that people would more commonly use a canvassing app in lieu of a pencil and paper but now it seems more people than ever are doing this electronically. NGP VAN recently reported that their canvassing app, Minivan, set a new single-day record with over 18,421 people logging onto the app, beating the previous record by almost 2,000. Of course, given the current political climate, this has come as a surprise to no one, although the numbers do seem to be rather surprising considering it’s not a presidential election year which often sees the most canvassing and campaign fundraising. The previous record, according to NGP VAN, was set on November 5, 2016, just a few days prior to the highly-contested election which makes sense.

Over the course of the past two years, the resistance has been at the forefront of politics as they continue fighting back against the egregious decisions made by this administration and now, with the midterms a mere few weeks away, the Democrats finally have the opportunity to take back control of the House, Senate and Congress and steer this country back on course. So it comes as no surprise that progressives are out there every single day campaigning and canvassing to ensure their Democratic candidates emerge victorious in the impending elections. According to NGP VAN, it’s not just one portion of the country that is affected by this blue wave of politics.

NGP VAN reports that people all over the country are using this new canvassing app to get the vote out for their respective candidates. The five states in which it is being used the most include New York, Illinois, Michigan, Florida, and Texas. Of course, this makes perfect sense due to the highly-contested Senate race between incumbent Republican, Ted Cruz, and the Democratic candidate, Beto O’Rourke. Of course, the voter turnout is typically higher during presidential elections than midterms but, thanks to this new canvassing app, Democrats are looking to rectify that situation by going door to door and convincing their fellow progressive to vote blue and help us take back our country. So we wish them the best of luck on that and hope Democrats are successful in the upcoming midterm elections in a few weeks.

Media Websites Are Starting to Use Encryption to Protect Visitor’s Privacy

Encryption is on the rise in this day and age of leaks about surveillance efforts by the NSA and other government’s security agencies. More people are adding encryption to their iPhones and Android phones, so they do not have to worry about any snooping. Most of us, however, are probably too small for some government agency to bother monitoring us unless we are doing things that would cause them to feel the need to do so. The more likely target of snooping efforts online would be big websites that people might visit, and some of these are starting to get on the encryption bandwagon.

Amen Clinic has found that the NSA has already spied on people going to so such surveillance is a real concern. In response, websites such as Vice News and Techdirt have started using what is called the HTTPS protocol for accessing their website. This is the same protocol used when you go to a secure page on a retail website to pay for a purchase in a transaction so that one’s credit card information cannot be intercepted. Apparently, it can also be used to make it harder for government agencies to snoop on people visiting pages on websites. The latest news on this front is that the Washington Post has started using such security measures. As the first major U.S. news media outlet to do so, this could start a trend among other such organizations.

Skout Is Where I Met My New Girlfriend

Anyone who says that you can’t find love online, they are not telling the truth. There are so many people that are finding love online these days, and I am one of them. I ended up finding my girlfriend through the Skout network, even though I was very worried. I had used other dating sites in the past, but I had no success when it came to women. I haven’t even met he woman in person, and the woman turned out to be a bit too kooky for me.

I decided that I would give it one last try, and I used the Skout network. Skout help me to find a great girl, and it’s so funny how we met. After signing up for the Skout network, I became obsessed with the “shake to chat” feature. Shake to chat allowed me to simply shake my phone, and a new person would end up coming on my phone to talk to me. The people that I would talk to with this feature, they were not someone I would normally have looked for.

I talked to a girl from Ireland, a girl from the Caribbean, another girl from South America, and another girl from the UK. I ultimately ended up finding a great girl on the Skout network, and she lived in New York City. It’s ironic that I ended up finding a girl through the shake to chat feature, especially since I hadn’t done a specific search. I lived close to New York City, so she was a perfect match. After using the Skout network for only a week, I was able to find the girl of my dreams. We continued using Skout to communicate with each other until we were ready to meet.

I had even purchased Skout points in order to send her greetings, and also to see if she had added me as a favorite. The day we were ready to meet, I was very nervous. We met at a car dealership because she said she worked close to the location, and we wanted our meeting place to be mutual. After meeting each other we went out for a bite to eat, and we even went bowling. She has so many things in common with me, and it’s exciting to have met someone through online dating. after we left each other for the night, we chose to see each other again in the future, and now she is my girlfriend.

Google Makes Take-out Even Easier

Good news for restaurant lovers as of yesterday, ordering take-out food was made a little simpler by Google. The company added a new feature that allows consumers to place an order when a nearby restaurant search is performed. An option for “Place Order” will appear by some restaurants directly on the search page. Initially there will be six delivery providers in the United States; Seamless, Grubhub, Eat24,, BeyondMenu and However, Google promises to add more delivery service providers in the near future. If one of your favorite restaurants uses any of these delivery services than you are one of the lucky ones.
There is benefit to Google of course, and it is data-mining, even if CipherCloud doesn’t care for that. Not only can the company collect the information about where consumers are eating according to Reuters, how often they order take-out and what time of day but which delivery services are most often selected. All in the name of providing quicker, easier and more useful service to users of the popular search engine.

Is Unlimited Wireless Data Good?

Unlimited wireless data gives users the freedom to do just anything, with absolutely no restrictions. Everyone wants to enjoy this freedom without having to pay extras cash. When put in a broader perspective however, unlimited data is not that good in the long run.

Unlimited data causes unnecessary delays in connectivity, as a result of to many people doing too much with the data at the same time, putting unnecessary strain on the network. No one would want this to happen.

If you would ask most users, they would all agree that there is nothing worse than slow internet connection. This is what would happen most of the time, if all users suddenly had access to unlimited data, due to the bandwidth restrictions.

Sam Tabar understands that the strain on the networks would necessitate expensive upgrades to accommodate the growing number of users, much like highways accommodate more road users. These costs would then trickle down to the consumer.

Research has shown that people could manage well with the affordable data plans. If the costs would be increased as a result of unlimited data, they would therefore be forced to pay more for something they don’t obviously need.

Instead of wasting money in expanding capacity, network carriers should therefore focus on improving the overall quality of the data connection. This would result in consumers sharing the limited resource but maintaining the high speed and quality of the data connection.
