Dr. Tim Ioannides attended the University of Miami, Department of Medicine, where he received his first medical degree. He did several internships such as in the University of Florida, Department of Medicine and Health Science Centre. Ioannides later continued with his internship at the University of Miami in the school of medicine, Department of Dermatology and lastly at Jackson Memorial Hospital in the department of Cutaneous surgery.
Having been employed in various dermatological centers and achieving specific milestones in his career life, Dr, Tim then decided to venture into private business where he founded the Treasure Coast Dermatology Centre.
An interview by interview.net entitled “Q & A with Tim Ioannides, Founder of Treasure Coast Dermatology”, Ioannides revealed the following details.
He said he decided to venture into the field on his own with a sole purpose of changing people’s lives for the better and especially those who have skin cancer. He also added that having gained substantial professional experience in his previous areas of work helped him in founding and effectively running Treasure Coast Dermatology. He stipulated that the services offered at Treasure Coast Dermatology mainly focus on the skin, and they include biopsy, Mohs surgery, and treatment of complex skin disorders, among others.
Tim Ioannides measures his success in terms of consultations daily as well as profit inflow and the number of patients attended to, that is a success on a long-term basis. Ioannides says that he values corporate culture, especially in resolving conflicts in the office and in maintaining employee relations.
His typical day begins with waking up at 6.00 am, doing several workouts and then helping his wife prepare their kids for schools. He later steps out and begins his daily office chores. The field of medicine excites him in that things are continually changing, and new technological advancements discovered regularly.
He says that he does not solely rely on software when it comes to handling patient’s records but instead prefers face to face communication for an enhanced patient-doctor relationship. His advice to others in the medical field would be a dedication to ones chosen niche. Last but not least, the book he would recommend for readers is ‘How to Win and Influence People.’
