Billy McFarland is a tech entrepreneur based in the United States of America. Billy is well known for the Black card known as Magnises and the Spling ventures. At these two ventures, Billy held the position of the Chief Executive Officer and the Co-Founder. Billy was born in 1991 in New York City.

He was, however, brought up in Short Hills, New Jersey. He attended the Bucknell University in Pennsylvania where he was pursuing a degree in computer engineering. Just like any young individual in college, he wanted some fun yet he could not afford it as he was broke. Billy dropped out of school shortly after joining to pursue a career in entrepreneurship.

Billy first venture as an adult was the Spling. Spling was a company that specialized in making URLs look better. During his time here, he was able to attract big names such as Universal and discovery. Later in 2013, he established his second venture that was referred to as Magnises.

This was a Black card targeting young professionals living in the Eastern Coast cities. He targeted people within the age 21-31 years working in Fashion industry, technology, and finance industry. Magnises was first made available in New York and Washington DC. Billy recently explained that there are plans to avail the services in other cities across the United States such as Boston, Atlanta, and Chicago

The annual subscription fee was set to $250 by Billy McFarland. According to Crunchbase, Billy McFarland designed special features for this Black card which include: Magnises NOW, HotelPass, and Club pass. Magnises now helps members access the best deals in the cities. The app resembles an assistant as it can answer general questions about the subscription.

The inquiry takes two-three minutes. As for the HotelPass, it allows users to sleep at hotels in these cities at subsidized rates. Finally, the Club pass is meant to help the members to access exclusive clubs at discounted rates of just $65 a month.

This creation by Billy has managed to attract approximately 12,000 people within the first few years. Some of the most notable members include prominent Basketball players, Songwriters, and actresses. The Black card allows members to access co-working spaces in New York at discounted prices of just $99 a month.
